I am very happy with this external DVD drive. It works great on my Acer laptop running Windows 8 (which has no DVD drive), & it was so easy to set up! I just plugged the USB cable that comes attached to the DVD drive into my laptop, pushed the button to open it, put the DVD in, & it automatically did the rest, I just pushed the play button on the screen. It runs very smooth & quiet. I'm very happy overall with this DVD drive. I received this item highly discounted in exchange for my honest & unbiased review.
