I absolutely love this pencil sharpener, especially that it has the selection dials because my daughter is always getting different sized fancy pencils - and I really love the suction cup feet which is better than other electric pencil sharpeners I've had. I did remove 1 star because I don't think I like having to hold the shavings tray in to activate the sharpener (at first I actually thought my sharpener was defective and just wouldn't remain fully closed- but then I realized that's what was considered the safety switch) - I think the shavings tray should remain all the way closed and only deactivate the sharpener when the tray is removed to empty it. But I guess it could be an advantage for people with small children (which I have, so this really could be beneficial in a sense), to prevent small children from sticking something in the sharpener so they can't hurt themselves or try sharpening something they shouldn't be sharpening - so I really think that feature has its upside and downside. Other than that, this really is an excellent sharpener that sharpens pencils in just a couple seconds, and it automatically stops sharpening once the pencil is perfectly sharpened - it really does work well at sharpening, and I'm so glad to have mine!
